Benjamin Danso, a former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman for Krowor, has filed his nomination forms to contest for the party’s Greater Accra Regional Chairmanship.
Danso said his decision to enter the race was driven by a desire to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures, promote unity and build a regional organisation that responds to the needs of its members.
He described his bid as a commitment to service rather than a personal ambition, stressing the importance of listening to party members and improving the structures that support the NDC.
“This is more than a personal ambition. It is a renewed commitment to the work of strengthening our party from the grassroots, listening to our members, and building a regional organisation that is responsive, united, and prepared for the challenges ahead,” he stated.
Danso said he was entering the contest with a clear sense of responsibility and a determination to deliver results.
“I am stepping forward with humility, determination, and a clear sense of purpose,” he said.
His experience as a former constituency chairman in Krowor is expected to feature in his campaign as he seeks to lead the party’s regional administration.
The contest will determine who oversees the NDC’s activities in Greater Accra, including coordinating party operations, strengthening constituency structures and mobilising members ahead of future elections.
