The Ghana Police Service says Harold Norman, husband of fashion personality Nana Akua Addo, will be arraigned after he is discharged from hospital over alleged domestic abuse.

The development follows a petition filed by Nana Akua Addo, known in private life as Rosemond Akua Adobea, with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on August 20, 2026.

According to the police, she alleged that her husband subjected her to physical, emotional and economic abuse.

The CID said preliminary investigations also revealed that a case involving the couple had previously been handled by the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) at the Lakeside and Ministries Police Stations in July.

Harold Norman was subsequently arrested at his residence on August 27 to assist with investigations. He provided a caution statement and was granted police enquiry bail with two sureties on August 29.

He was scheduled to appear before court on October 7, but police said his lawyer informed investigators that he had been admitted to hospital and was unable to attend.

The police said DOVVSU investigators visited the hospital to verify his admission and are monitoring the situation to ensure he is arraigned immediately after his discharge.

The CID is also working with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to provide social welfare support for Nana Akua Addo and her children.

The case follows the circulation of videos and photographs online that appeared to show Nana Akua Addo with visible injuries. The circumstances surrounding those images remain subject to investigation.
