Dancehall star Samini is bringing his signature concert back to Dansoman this December, with a renewed focus on celebrating the community where he grew up and creating opportunities for emerging musicians.
Dubbed Samini Xperience 2026, the event is scheduled for December 24 and will form part of the DC Carnival, also known as Dan Carnival, organised in collaboration with the Dansoman Municipal Assembly.
Speaking at the launch on Friday, October 16, Samini explained that the initiative differs from his Saminifest concert series, which has taken performances to various parts of the country.
He described Samini Xperience as a homecoming event designed to honour his roots while giving fans an opportunity to celebrate the community that helped shape his career.
Beyond the headline performance, the musician said he hopes to use the platform to identify and develop young talent from Dansoman by providing emerging artistes with greater exposure.
The celebrations will run from December 18 to 24, featuring a week of cultural and entertainment activities intended to showcase the area's talent and potential.
Samini expressed optimism about working with the municipal assembly, saying the partnership would help bring residents together and attract wider attention to Dansoman.
The assembly welcomed the collaboration, noting that it had already been considering a carnival for the area before the musician approached it.
The event is expected to draw music fans, residents and visitors during Ghana's busy December entertainment season. Samini has also called on corporate organisations to support the initiative.
