NPP Director of Communications Dennis Miracles Aboagye says newly elected First Vice Chairman Kojo Bamba will strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilisation and protect its votes in the 2028 general election.

Speaking on Eyewitness News on Monday, Dennis Aboagye said Kojo Bamba’s appeal among young people and grassroots supporters would strengthen the party’s leadership team.

“Kojo is one of the people that we know would be able to provide a certain level of influence on the grassroots. That is Kojo Bamba for you, and that is the level of innovation that he brings to the table that people have not paid their mind to. You underrate him at your own peril.”

Dennis Aboagye said Kojo Bamba’s election also brings a different set of skills and experience to the NPP’s national leadership.

He was particularly confident in the new First Vice Chairman’s ability to help the party organise its supporters and safeguard its ballots during the 2028 election.

“I am excited about his election because I can tell you one thing for a fact. With Kojo Bamba, the votes of the NPP will be protected. The ballots of the NPP will be protected.”

According to Dennis Aboagye, protecting the party’s ballots was one of the issues Kojo Bamba emphasised during his campaign and would be an important part of his role in the new leadership.

He said the NPP’s experience in the 2024 election had highlighted the need for stronger measures to safeguard its votes.

Dennis Aboagye added that the party would learn from that experience and avoid what he described as mistakes made during the 2024 election.
