Ken Urker, the partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and father of her daughter, has died at the age of 34.
Urker was found unresponsive at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Thursday, October 1, his 34th birthday. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to the residence at about 6:15 p.m. and found him dead on arrival. Authorities said the death remains under investigation.
Blanchard confirmed Urker’s death in a statement, describing him as “an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved.”
She later told People that she believed Urker died from an apparent overdose but said she did not know whether it was intentional. She also said he had been facing intense scrutiny and online harassment.
“Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms,” Blanchard said, according to The Independent.
Urker and Blanchard first connected in 2017 after he wrote her a letter while she was serving a prison sentence. They became romantically involved and got engaged in 2018 before separating.
The pair reunited in 2024 following Blanchard’s separation from her husband, Ryan Anderson. They later welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, in December 2024.
Blanchard has asked for privacy for their daughter, families and others mourning Urker
