Tanzania’s Jihan Dimack has been crowned Miss Grand International 2026, securing her country’s first victory at the international beauty pageant during the grand finale in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday, October 10.
Dimack emerged ahead of contestants from more than 70 countries to claim the coveted title, succeeding the Philippines’ Emma Tiglao, who passed on the crown during the coronation ceremony.
Ecuador’s Shyare Andrade finished as first runner-up, while the Netherlands’ Beau Megan Goos secured second runner-up. Guatemala’s Ximena Carrillo placed third runner-up, with Vietnam’s Emoura Pham completing the top five.
The competition brings together contestants from different countries to compete in several stages, including swimsuit presentations, evening gowns, speeches and question-and-answer sessions.
Dimack is not new to international pageantry. She previously held the Miss Universe Tanzania title and represented the country at the Miss Universe competition in 2016, held in the Philippines.
Her experience on the international stage adds to the significance of her latest achievement, which places Tanzania at the centre of this year’s global pageant conversation.
Meanwhile, the Philippines’ representative, Angelica Lopez, finished in the Top 25 but did not advance to the Top 11. She nevertheless received recognition for her national costume, which drew inspiration from the mangkukulam, a figure associated with witchcraft in Philippine folklore.
