The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has approved filing fees of up to GH¢100,000 for aspirants seeking national executive positions in its upcoming internal elections.

The party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) approved the fee structure for 14 national executive positions, with the National Chairman role attracting the highest filing fee of GH¢100,000.

Aspirants seeking membership of the National Executive Committee will pay GH¢10,000, the lowest amount under the arrangement.

Candidates contesting for General Secretary and National Vice Chairman will pay GH¢80,000 and GH¢60,000 respectively, while the National Organiser position attracts a fee of GH¢70,000. Deputy General Secretary aspirants will also pay GH¢60,000.

The filing fee for National Communication Officer is GH¢50,000, while candidates for National Youth Organiser and National Zongo Caucus Coordinator will each pay GH¢40,000.

Aspirants for Deputy National Organiser, Deputy National Communication Officer, Deputy National Youth Organiser, National Women’s Organiser and Deputy National Women’s Organiser will each pay GH¢30,000, subject to special provisions for female candidates with disabilities.

In addition to the filing fees, all aspirants will pay GH¢2,000 for nomination forms.

The party has also introduced a 50% reduction in filing fees for female aspirants and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

However, the concession does not apply to female candidates contesting for National Women’s Organiser and Deputy National Women’s Organiser.

All payments are to be made online through the party’s designated platform, forms.ghanandc.com.

The approved fees form part of the NDC’s preparations for its national executive elections, which will determine the officers responsible for managing the party’s administration and organisational activities.
