Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Prof Ransford Gyampo, says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has failed to learn from its defeat in the 2024 general election.
According to the political scientist, the party’s newly elected leadership shows little evidence of change or remorse following its loss.
Prof Gyampo argued that the NPP has retained people associated with its previous administration despite what he said were clear concerns expressed by Ghanaians during the 2024 election.
He said the party’s political arrogance prevented its leaders from listening to the message voters sent through the election.
“The outcome of their elections shows two things. First, it is decidedly clear that there’s no remorse, there’s no change. Second, their political arrogance has deafened them such that they couldn’t hear what Ghanaians told them in 2024. Ok,” he said in a social media post.
The NPP has elected John Boadu as its National Chairman to lead the party ahead of the 2028 general election.
Kojo Bamba was elected First Vice Chairman, while Titus Glover is the National Organiser.
Hawa Koomson is the National Women’s Organiser, with Abanga Fuseini Yakubu elected National Youth Organiser.
