The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has outlined the voting arrangements and identification requirements for its national officers’ elections on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
According to a notice issued on September 30 by Frederick Opare-Ansah, Chairman of the National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC), the party has also released the programme for the conference.
The programme will begin with consideration of constitutional amendments at exactly 9:00 a.m., followed by the election of national officers at 12:00 p.m.
Voting will take place across 31 polling stations for nine elected positions, including National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser and National Women’s Organiser.
The other positions are National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director.
The Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify the identity of every voter.
Delegates must have their names on the official delegates’ register and present one of the three approved identification documents.
The party has urged delegates to bring the required documents and arrive early enough to complete the verification process before voting.
“As we prepare for the Party’s conference on 3 October 2026, all officers and delegates are requested to take note of the programme schedule and voter identification requirements below,” Opare-Ansah said.
He added that punctuality and cooperation would help ensure the orderly consideration of the proposed constitutional amendments and the smooth conduct of the elections.
The party has also directed its constituency, regional and national officers to communicate the arrangements to delegates under their respective jurisdictions.
